Children's church continues!
Our seminarian Mary Jane Simpson will be leading lessons through 2026 with help from parents and grandparents. Deacon Peggy is still looking for volunteers and we are hoping to hire a child caregiver for the rest of the school year. If you know of anyone who might like to spend a few hours on Sunday mornings week with some wonderful children or if you would like to volunteer, reach out to Deacon Peggy.
Here is the job description that we shared with the public:
All Saints South Burlington is looking for a Sunday School helper to watch over about six children ages 3 through middle school on Sunday mornings. Preference will be given to applicants who have experience in church youth programs and knowledge of early childhood development. Teaching experience is not a requirement but an added plus.
We are seeking someone with a welcoming, positive attitude. The child caregiver will have to take Safe Church training, as required by the Episcopal Diocese of Vermont for all persons working with children in a church setting, and will be paid for four hours to complete the online training. The time required for this job is 2 hours on Sundays (9:30-11:30AM) during the school year. Hourly pay is $25-30/hour, depending on experience.
